From FOOD, DRINK & DINING OUT Great British Beer Festival
09 August - 13 August Earlís Court, London. A red-letter event in every beer lover's diary, this is the country's biggest beer festival, held over five days at London's Earl's Court in August. It celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2012.

It showcases about 1000 British and foreign beers, as well as traditional British cider and perry. Over 65,000 visitors are expected.

A number of awards are given each August for various classes of beer including: supreme champions, bitter, premium bitter, golden ale, mild, speciality beer and new brewery.

Gold Ė Tiny Rebel, Cwtch isnít your average bitter - the hops do more to this deep amber coloured beer than just provide bite.
Silver - Kelburn, Jaguar a golden, full bodied ale with undertones of grapefruit and a long lasting citrus, hoppy aftertaste.
Bronze - Dancing Duck, Dark Drake, delicious malty, caramel and liquorice flavours combine wonderfully in a smooth drinking velvety, oatmeal stout with a freshly roasted coffee and toffee finish
