Brain and Spine Website

February 2017

General Practitioners

Country of origin: UK

The Brain and Spine Foundation website gives answers to frequently-asked questions on a whole range of neurological problems from cancer to meningitis, Parkinsons, epilepsy and dizziness and also enables sufferers and their carers to download booklets published by the Foundation.

The Brain & Spine Foundation?s previous website received 96,000 hits and supplied 2,000 downloaded booklets a month. The new site is expected to generate a 50 per cent increase in traffic to the Foundation?s helpline, which is staffed by four healthcare professionals handling 3,000 enquiries a year.

Neurological problems comprise 8.4 per cent of the countrys total health and social service budget. The Brain & Spine Foundation is a charity aiming to help improve the quality of life for as many of these people as possible. Our website provides a tremendously cost-effective front-line service for those whose lives are disrupted by neurological disorders.
