Produce for Better Health Foundation?s (PBH) kids? website now features even more fun, educational activities. Visitors will be treated to four new, age-appropriate games.

The new games include:

? What Colour ? encourages kids to select the proper fruits & veggies for the specified colour group in order to reveal humorous answers to fruit and vegetable-themed riddles
? Find It ? reveals humorous answers to even more fruit and vegetable-themed riddles when kids find the hidden fruits & veggies
? Farm to Fork ? kids complete various interactive steps while learning how fruits and vegetables are grown, harvested, shipped, marketed and prepared
? Healthy Choices Maze ? lets kids navigate their way through a day?s worth of high and low nutrition density food choices

?Our kids? website, FoodChamps.org, gives us the opportunity to interact directly with children and show them fruits and veggies can be fun,? said Elizabeth Pivonka, PhD., RD., president and CEO of PBH. ?The games and activities are age appropriate for kids two through eight years old, but may be appropriate for kids a little younger or a little older depending on the individual child. They are designed to encourage children to eat more fruits and vegetables.?

FoodChamps.org is part of the Fruits & Veggies - More Matters health initiative. The site is designed to educate and encourage children to eat more fruits and vegetables while they play games, fill in colouring pages, and enjoy other fun, online activities. The website features PBH?s Fruit and Veggie Color Champions.

Kids choose one of the Champions to show them around the site while they have fun with fruit and vegetable math, play a fruit and veggie matching game, and even print out recipes to cook with an adult helper. They can also print out pages from the site to colour with their own crayons or enjoy special online colouring pages, no crayons required.
