Country of origin: USA

The development and clinical implementation of prostate cancer biomarkers to guide disease management for men with localized disease remains a challenge, especially in view of the known high rates of overtreatment and clinical relapse after primary treatment. The overall goal of a recent study by Lalonde and colleagues1 was to develop a set of prognostic measures capable of stratifying patients for risk of biochemical relapse 5 years after primary treatment.
